Role and Responsibilities: Research-focused responsibilities included deep dives into product functionalities, comparative analysis, and site structure exploration to facilitate the development of targeted Smarthome product bundles.

Collaborations: Collaborated with Verizon teams, refining strategies to redefine the Smarthome category, positioning Verizon as a tech and connectivity leader. Identified potential partners like Nest, LG, Muji, and ZocDoc for bundling and pilot phases.

Strategies Implemented:

  • Redefined the Smarthome category to create a seamless and emotional connection with consumers, focusing on lifestyle-based product curation.

  • Proposed a shopping engine similar to lifestyle-based platforms like Mr. Porter, merging educational content and curated products for enhanced consumer engagement.

  • Planned monetization through sales commissions, aiming to position Verizon as an affiliate model for lifestyle-driven Smarthome products.

Key Deliverable: Formulated a strategic plan outlining a pilot phase for Smarthome bundles, incorporating lifestyle-based product selections and educational content.

Results and Achievements:

  • Developed a comprehensive plan encompassing product curation, pilot phase setup, and long-term objectives, fostering consumer engagement and brand positioning.

  • Analyzed competitor landscapes, identified potential market barriers, and proposed solutions for entry into the Smarthome industry.
